Took these hands
I wanted to be
Leaving everything up to me I tried my best to hide and seek
The best for me
Saw these eyes
Peering over me
Watched and took what I could
To be the greatest version of me
Sad to see i'm lost in the sea
Stop asking so many questions
I'm perfectly fine most of the time
I'm edging on my quarter crisis and
I don't even have a dime
At night I never sleep
I wish i could all night
It's not really fun when you're not perfect you know
Every conversation with myself goes:
Oh no you go
Everywhere you're not supposed to know
It's a mess you've got to stop
You can't know how everything will go
It's not right to be worried all the time
One of my favorite albums of all time. Turnover really hit a sound here that resonates with me deeply, and I often find myself coming back to this record and falling in love with it all over again. The drums and bass are greatly underrated on this album, creating their own unique melodies that fit within the song and create something new rather than just follow the guitars. Nothing beats the somehow joyful and somber sound of this record. Rob Carpenter
The Seams' jangly pop is full of lovely melodic twists and elegant turns-of-phrases delineating the quotidian details of love and romance. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 5, 2018
