Yesterday
You forgot the words you were meant to say
You get nervous
And you'd rather stay in your confines
Talking to yourself 'cause that's what you're used to
But all my Conversations
They feel like they'll reach their end
As fast as dominoes
collide in their descent
All these days I can't stay awake
Wishing I could go far
But now I'm in a place with no end
End in my place with no descent
Everything is just passing by
Would you like to hide in your shadows?
Better to pretend
You know your words
When you don't have the words to say
When there's so much silence
You don't know what to say
One of my favorite albums of all time. Turnover really hit a sound here that resonates with me deeply, and I often find myself coming back to this record and falling in love with it all over again. The drums and bass are greatly underrated on this album, creating their own unique melodies that fit within the song and create something new rather than just follow the guitars. Nothing beats the somehow joyful and somber sound of this record. Rob Carpenter
The Seams' jangly pop is full of lovely melodic twists and elegant turns-of-phrases delineating the quotidian details of love and romance. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 5, 2018
